First Visit Expectations
If you’re like most parents, you want to prepare your child for their first visit to a new office. Below is an overview of what you and your child can expect during your first visit to RGV Pediatric Dentistry.
Let's get to know each other
We encourage you and your child to ask questions, express any concerns, and share with us anything you want us to know to help make your child’s care as individual as they are.
Part of getting to know your child and providing safe, personalized support involves reviewing their medical history. Certain medical conditions and medications and can influence treatment – so you will be asked to include a list of any medications and their dosages (including vitamins and supplements).
If necessary, x-rays will be taken, and a comprehensive oral exam of your child’s teeth, gums, mouth, and jaw will be performed, including a non-invasive oral cancer screening. Our office follows a tell-show-do system to minimize anxiety. A cleaning will follow the initial exam, and Dr. Subhani will go over any findings with you and your child.
You're in great hands
Together you can create a healthy, effective treatment plan that best meets your child’s dental and personal requirements. We can prioritize and stagger your treatments to give your child a smile they deserve in a timeframe you can afford.
